What is Kendama??
Kendama is a skill toy that originated in Japan and came to America 15 years ago. In kendama, players put their hand-eye coordination to the test, trying to hone their skills landing a variety of tricks.
Design Objectives
The product can hold all the accessories and equipment needed by the user when they go have a kendama session.
The product must be compact and not interfere with the movement of the user.
The product material integrity must be high to deal with constant usage.
Inspiration
The design draws inspiration from heavy-duty materials tailored to withstand the rigors of the outdoors, while retaining a familiar and comforting geometry. By seamlessly blending robust functionality with timeless aesthetics, we ensure reliability and appeal in every environment, from rugged landscapes to urban settings.

This phase focused on determining the day pack’s dimensions and practicing sewing techniques. It also allowed for testing panel patterns to identify and fix any sizing or placement issues in the design.
